The Carers meetings I attended were very supportive. I found them very useful with regards to my emotional feelings. It would have been nice if they had gone on longer than six weeks although it would be difficult to leave my husband and costly for St. Peter's. I would find some practical nursing training useful e.g bed bathing, catheter care etc.
The people, the environment.
Simply the fact things were "normal" no feeling of hospital or life being wrong.
Patient lost confidence in staff when being moved from bed to wheelchair (2 times). No sling used on one of these times.
The nurses who visit are extremely professional, caring and knowledgeable. No improvements I can recommend.
Good as it can be.
The garden and all the flowers.
The meals were good and drunks always available and it's a nice place.
Can't think of any improvements.
The care provided was excellent, very thoughtful, supportive and sympathetic. From the moment.
Dad went dramatically downhill the support was fantastic, not intensive and ensuring that the families needs were respected and deserved my mum and own the spent most time with them all. Thank you for your help in such a difficult time, you really did help ease the pain.
